Mackenzie started skating at USC as a preschooler and hasn't looked back since. She competed as a single competitive skater and began ice dance with Garrett after her coach suggested she give it a try at age 7. In their second year skating together they placed 3rd at Trillium (the Ontario StarSkate Comp.) in Preliminary. They have gone on to compete at Sectionals, have been given international assignments from Skate Canada to represent Canada at ISU Junior Grand Prix Circuit competitions in various countries including Croatia and Austria (where they won a bronze!) - Fall 2012. This is their 2nd year competing in the ISU Junior Grand Prix Circuit. Last season they ploaced third in Brasov and 5th in Tallinn.
After achieving a Silver Medal in Junior Ice Dance at the 2013 Canadian Tire National Figure Skating Championships, Mackenzie and Garrett competed at the World Championship in Milan, Italy. They placed 4th in the Short Program and 7th in the Free Dance with total points of 128.71 putting them at 5th place overall in the World for Junior Ice Dance!! We are massively proud of you!

Welcome to the
Uxbridge Skating Club
USC is a non-profit organization completely run by a Board of Directors who are all volunteers.
We have been offering skating programs since 1963.
Our Coaches are highly skilled, all with NCCP qualifications.
Our facility, the Uxbridge Arena & Recreation Centre, has 2 full size ice pads, a jump harness and glass heated viewing area.
We offer a variety of skating programs including learn-to-skate programs (PreCanSkate and CanSkate) and figure skating (StarSkate). As well, we have a new program designed to assist high level CanSkaters and new Level 1 StarSkaters to adjust to the StarSkate program and more independent skating.
StarSkater and high level CanSkaters have the opportunity to compete in various competitions in Eastern Ontario and beyond as well as experience testing for skills or dances at Test Days.
Throughout the season we offer a variety of special events like Skating with Santa, Family Skate, Halloween Dress Up, Wacking Clothes Day and more.
The highlight of the season is our year end Ice Show where our skaters have the opportunity to showcase the skills they have learned throughout the year.
